Formed in 2002, Zea2 has built an extensive portolio of biorefining IP, physical assets and numerous commercial opportunities. Now Zea2, the plant facility at the Port of Morrow has the capability to process 10 tons/day of biomass using fermentation and downstream processing for product purification. The facility provides ease of access to low-cost corn-based carbohydrate feedstock. Its world-class team of experienced full-time operations staff and industrial biotechnology consultants work diligently to accelerate companies’ commercialization of their own biotechnology. These foundational relationships for project development activities are mutually beneficial as Boardman provides the ability to dramatically accelerate scale-up at a fraction of the cost, replacing the need to fund the costly construction of a new plant.
