General Purpose motors with an aluminum enclosure are suitable for a wide range of standard drive tasks in the industrial environment. The design and architecture of the motors ensure maximum flexibility and minimum installation costs. Users benefit from integral lifting eyes, screw-on feet, reinforced bearing end shields with optimum mechanical properties and easily accessible terminal boxes. Encoders, brakes and separately driven fans can also be easily added. Thanks to their especially low weight, they are predestined for applications in pumps, fans and compressors. But they can also be reliably deployed in conveyor systems and lifting gear.

Asynchronous motor optimized for converter operation (VSD10)

SIMOTICS GP converter motors belonging to the VSD10 Line have been exclusively designed for converter operation, and have been specifically optimized for SINAMICS converters. They are perfectly harmonized and coordinated to operate with the SINAMICS series – simply put, a highly efficient overall system with high reliability.

The active part of the SIMOTICS motor is harmonized to the Power Module of the SINAMICS converter. This ensures optimum system utilization and a high efficiency over the complete lifecycle.

SIMOTICS converter motors and SINAMICS converters can be used globally as they comply with local legislation and MEPS standards.
