Nozzles (vanes) are manufactured following structured, frozen and controlled processes. Lean manufacturing principles are followed throughout the overall process to ensure that all operations are carried out in a clean, organized and productive environment.

Our new 5-axis grinding and milling center (MAKINO) and historical experience on milling, turning and EDM machining operations, we are able to produce several items by following two different work cycles:

Traditional work cycle (milling, turning & Engineering Development Model (EDM) phases)
New (Makino) work cycle (5-axis grinding, milling & EDM phases)

All parts are checked on specific gauges and a dedicated CMM machine at the end of each machining step. Non-Destructive Examinations (NDEs) such as Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) checks are part of standard production processes. Optical scanning is also employed to verify parts’ dimensional features.

EthosEnergy offers a variety of coating solutions such as metallic overlay, thermal barrier and protective coatings.

Recent achievements in oxidation resistant metallic coatings and advanced Thermal Barrier Coatings (TBCs) have been realized. SICOAT is a metallic coating with increased oxidation resistance. This metallic coating has an improved composition that exhibits superior resistance to high temperature oxidation and offers superior high temperature adhesion to the TBC resulting in overall longer TBC life.

The SICOAT optimized composition has excellent corrosion resistance and when combined with oxidation resistance makes its application ideal for the High Velocity Oxy-Fuel (HVOF) deposition process.

The serialization of the parts – provided with quick traceability – allows us to record life history of the parts and to customize the maintenance plans as a function of the equivalent operating hours, with the advantage of scheduling the necessary component replacements before any failure occurs. Furthermore, our warehouse is perfectly equipped to repair stationary parts, fully restoring their functionality.
  • EthosEnergy offers complete in-house manufacturing cycles for all stationary parts such as nozzles (vanes) and shrouds from the casting condition to the final assembly

  • Our new 5-axis grinding and milling center (MAKINO) and historical experience on milling, turning and EDM machining operations, we are able to produce several items
