UKRI Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funded PhD candidate at the University of Edinburgh. My research seeks to understand the risks and opportunities associated with the promotion and uptake of off-grid and renewable energy technologies (e.g. solar PV mini-grids) in low-income settings. I draw on a mixture of methods to examine these including interviews, participatory GIS mapping, documentary analysis and geospatial analysis using Python. Provisional PhD title: -The geographies of energy justice: assessing the implications of off-grid solar PV promotion and uptake in Rwanda.
