When we match air compressor to ozone generator or ozone mixing system with air as gas supply, how to figure out gas flow of air compressor? Firstly we need to know the outlet CO3 of air O3 machine is 15-30 g/m3.


According to formula, suppose a set of o3 machine, output of o3, 100g/hr, gas volume = yield / CO3 = 100 g/hr / 20 g/m3 = 5 m3/hr, namely 83.3L/min


Now, We need to know that the empirical value K is 1.2 time of Theoretical value of air flow. So, finally the gas flow of air compressor is 83.3l/min by 1.2, namely 100L/min.

How to match air compressor for a industrial ozone generator or ozone mixing system?


Let's suppose that a set of ozone machine has output of 100g/hr. CO3, which is subject to current corona discharge, is 80-100g per m3. We can figure out oxygen needed. X=100g/hr / 80g/m3=1.25m3/hr, namely 20.8L/min, According to the conversion efficiency from air compressor to oxygen machine, the conventional conversion rate K value in the market is 16-20 times of the amount of oxygen needed.


when your o3 machine's gas is oxygen, we can get finally that air compressor gas volume, is 20.8L by 20, which equal to 416L/min

Why 1ppm of ozone concentration equal to 2.144mg/m3 in air?


As we know, 1 ppm of CO3 in air is 2.144mg/m3? but few people know how it comes from? Now, I make you be clear about the figure of 2.144mg/m3.


First, 1m3=1000L, and 1L=1000cm3=1000mL, then we can get 1m3=1x10(6)cm3=1x10(6)mL, right? What is PPM? It is parts per million. so we can know that 1 part per million for 1m3 is 1mL. namely, 1ppm's volume = 1mL


Second, ozone density is 0.002144 g/cm3 (0 ℃)in the air, right? As it is ozone's chemical property.


Third, we can figure out in 1mL air ozone quantity according to fomula of Volume x Density. ozone quantity=Volume x Density =1mL x 0.002144 g/cm3 = 0.002144g = 2.144mg.


Now, we finally know 1ppm is 1mL/m3 in air, so1ppm of ozone=2.144mg/m3, got it.

What is ozone mixing system?

So called ozone mixing system meant to mix ozone in water or air to disinfect, bleaching, remove smell or for smoke denitration, etc


How to mix ozone in air and water?

In air, only way to mix ozone with air by automatic or passive flow of air, we can directly have ozone's emission out of ozone machine or add more ozone pipe for much more efficient mixing.

In water, regarding exact application like water flow speed, time of reaching requirement of ozone concentration, cost of ozone mixing solution etc, we have venturi jet, liquid&gas mixing pump, along with air diffuser to mix ozone with water.


C is concentration of ozone either in air or water, while T is time that the ozone mixing system keep the ozone concentration after it reach requirement, like CT=1.6 for drinking water disinfection, C=0.4ppm, T=4mins. All ozone application CT value come from experiment and detection

How to produce ozone by high voltage corona disicharging in industry?


1.What is high voltage for making ozone? It should be 3000v to 4000v at the end of 2 electrode.


2. In 304 stainless steel ozone tube, there are many quartz tube with discharging net in it, and the radius of curvature of the discharge grid electrode is very small, which is easy to accumulate charge to generate a high-energy electric field to ionize air or oxygen


3. Air or oxygen passes along the cylindrical surface of the quartz tube from top to bottom and is partially ionized and the formula is from O2+e with high energy to O and O and e with low energy


4. when O adom meet O2, they will became 03. O+O2+M=O3+M+heat


Please attention, corona discharge produce in the gap of quartz tube's outside surface and 304 stainless steel ozone tube, and it is there that O2 to be O adom, then to meet O2 to O3 Lastly, O3 is outlet through at the end of stainless steel ozone tube

When gas source of ozone machine in ozone mixing system is oxygen, how much oxygen should the oxygen machine make for ozone generator?


Currently in market, the outlet CO3 of corona discharge oxygen ozone machine is 80 to 100 g/m3. Now suppose one set of ozone machine make 100g O3 per hour.


According to formula, oxygen flow = ozone yield / CO3 = 100g/hr / 80g/m3=1.25 m3/hr = 20.8 L/min


Now, you may ask why the CO3 of corona discharge oxygen O3 machine is 80 to 100 g/m3. That is subject to current technology. If one day, the CO3 will be higher, then for a certain yield of ozone machine, the less oxygen would be needed.
