During my thirty plus years of industrial experience, in various capacities I have independently handled wide-ranging jobs in Instrumentation & Control Systems related to large petrochemical and gas plants, including specialized areas such as on-line analytical, metering, Fire & Gas, Compressor & Turbine Control, Tank Gauging. Handled major plant expansions and debottlenecking from inception to commissioning & start up involving review of P&ID, review and approval of technical specifications of DCS, HIPS, ESD systems, PLCs, Analytical, PC based and field Instrumentation System, technical evaluation of bids and vendor selection. Have very good exposure to latest trends such as Industrial Ethernet, Field Bus, System Integration Techniques such as modbus & OPC, serial interfaces such as HART, Safety Instrumented System Standards IEC 61508, 61511 & ISA 84.01, smart field devices and Asset Management & Remote System Operation/Monitoring concepts. Very good knowledge of ISA and instrumentation related international standards of ISO, API, AGA, IEC, NFPA, NEC, NEMA. Led incident investigations, resolution of wide ranging technical issues of complex nature, identify limitations & improvement opportunities and provide feedback on green & brown field projects, upgrades and modifications. Very good exposure to Mechanical & Electrical equipment technical specifications and associated standards. Managed Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation & Control Systems related normal & shutdown maintenance, emergencies and opportunities in respect of manpower, materials, planning, safety, execution and quality.
