What are Gas Turbine Spare Parts?
Gas turbine parts are generally identical, but due to the difference in terminology for each manufacturer, the naming process of gas turbine parts varies slightly among the OEMs. Gas turbines are composed of three main components: compressor, combustor, and power turbine sections. But these three main components consist of hundreds of sub-components and parts.
Compressor Parts:
The compressor is in fact one of the important gas turbine parts that are used to raise inlet air pressure to a higher level. The rotating blades attached to the shaft force the air between stationary blocks, which raises air pressure, and at the compressor outlet, high-pressure air is available. There are several sets of small airfoil blades consisting of the compressor some of them have been attached to the inner shaft and rotate at high speed, while others remain stationary. The rotating part is referred to as the rotor and the fixed one is referred to as the stator. The main parts and components of a combustion system at a gas turbine are:

Combustion Parts:

The hot exhaust gases from the combustion section pass the turbine and leave the nozzle and generate power. The two important roles of the nozzles are to make thrust by accelerating thrust generation via heat exhaust gas and control the turbine’s mass flow. Similar to the compressor, in the turbine section we also have a rotor and stator but the main difference is that the exhaust gases are very hot and all parts in this section need to be resistant to the very high temperature. These auxiliary systems provide fuel, lubrication, and control of all systems. One of the auxiliary systems is the fuel system which provides fuel in the combustor at the desired pressure and amount. Casings & Packaging
The whole three main sections of a gas turbine are held by a casing. Generally, in a gas turbine, the casing contains the rotor and nozzles through which the hot gases are expanded and directed against the rotating buckets. Gas turbine casing also defines the boundary of part of the turbine flow duct and is formed from various segments, each segment being mounted from the fixed structure by a plurality of radially extending struts. Air is conducted into the compressor section through the ducts and also expanded gasses exited from the turbine section through the stack. The air needs to be filtered before entering the compressor.
