The SOL Group was founded in 1927 on the initiative of Giovanni Annoni and Aldo Fumagalli, both from Monza, with the aim of setting up two oxygen and acetylene production plants, one in Livorno and the other in Ancona. The first years of the Company's life are difficult, but for this very reason helped to form the Group’s “character”, its foresight and prudence.
