Together with YPF LUZ, a subsidiary of Argentina's largest energy company YPF, GE has announced the start of commercial operation at the La Plata Industrial Complex--which is now expected to be the cogeneration complex with the highest capacity output in the country. Powered by our most advanced 6F gas turbine, the new block is expected to add 90 MW to the existing 128 MW plant.

GE has installed an MXL2 upgrade at ADNOC Refining’s General Utilities Plant in Ruwais, United Arab Emirates (UAE), increasing the engine output by over 10 MW and consequently reducing the emissions per megawatt generated. In the past few months, GE has synchronized four GT13E2 gas turbines at the Basra Oil Company's Zubair power plant in Iraq, adding a total of up to 700 MW of electricity to power Iraqi homes, factories, hospitals and more. The plant is set to be completed in 2021, all while adhering to strict environment, health and safety protocols.
ICYMI: GE has opened a new, first-of-its-kind Aeroderivative Services Level 2 facility and Tooling Store in Perth, Australia. The workshop will provide enhanced support to GE's LM6000, LM2500 and LMS100 aeroderivative gas turbine fleet installed in the country. The facility will enable faster and more flexible execution of planned and unplanned maintenance with a consequent reduction of the repair cycle time and logistics costs for Australian aeroderivative power plant operators. The facility also includes a Tooling Store, operated by FieldCore, which will serve the entire GE fleet within the Asia Pacific region.

The pandemic does not stop us from listening to our customers. Last week, GE experts attended the 6FA virtual users conference where they exchanged with customers on various topics, including outages execution and the decarbonization of gas power.
Today we announced that we will equip East Rockingham utility-scale waste-to-energy plant with our 35-MWe turbine, part of GE’s renewable steam power technology portfolio. The new plant will convert non-recyclable waste into reliable and dependable #energy for the Australian grid while lowering the overall annual CO2 footprint by 300,000 tons – the equivalent of taking 64,000 cars off the road
With GE Gas Power's 7F.05 gas turbine, Maxim Power’s M II 204 megawatt (MW) natural gas-fired power plant is safely and successfully delivering power to the Alberta grid near Grand Cache, Alberta using natural gas, which provides electricity with less than 50% of the emissions of a coal-fired facility after GE Gas Power provided relocation support with a DLN2.6+ upgrade and secured a contractual services agreement for the GE 7F.05 gas turbine.

This is #30. In just 6 years, thirty of GE's 9HA gas turbines have left the gates of our Belfort manufacturing plant, generating electricity to homes around the globe including in places like Argentina, Greece, Indonesia, and beyond.
This is also the first of two 9HA.01 Gas Turbines heading to the Orot Rabin Modernization Project to deliver up to 1,260MW of power -- more than 8% of Israel's current total power generation capacity.
Congratulations to the team on this significant milestone -- a milestone for Belfort, and for Gas Power.
