Gas power will play an increasingly important role in the medium to long-term future of the energy mix as governments accelerate decarbonization through coal-to-gas switching and the growth of renewable energy technologies.

“Gas turbines are increasingly used to complement intermittent renewable-energy supply to maintain grid stability,” says Nosizwe Dlengezele, GE Gas Power Regional Executive. Find out more on how GE is leading this transformation in this week’s Gas-to-Power Engineering News feature.

This is #30. In just 6 years, thirty of GE's 9HA gas turbines have left the gates of our Belfort manufacturing plant, generating electricity to homes around the globe including in places like Argentina, Greece, Indonesia, and beyond.

This is also the first of two 9HA.01 Gas Turbines heading to the Orot Rabin Modernization Project to deliver up to 1,260MW of power -- more than 8% of Israel's current total power generation capacity.

Congratulations to the team on this significant milestone -- a milestone for Belfort, and for Gas Power.
